Lori Jarvis, living in the local area since a child, has dedicated 26+ years to serving the needs of seniors and disabled adults.
Lori began her life in the healthcare field as a CNA in a long-term care skilled facility, and then promoted to the Restorative Aide. During this time, she also took care of Medical Central Supply and Billing, and also becoming the Safety Chair for a building of 50 plus employees. Then as time went on, she became the Assistant Activity Director, while finishing her college degree in Administration. In 2010, Lori joined the Rackleff Place Team and became a NOC shift Medication Aide, where she grew in Rackleff Place. Taking the position as Safety Chair, along with becoming the Life Enrichment Coordinator moving into the position of Community Relations Director, the Assistant to the Director and part of care-planning team.
Lori is very excited to be fulfilling the role of director at Rackleff Place in this unique community. Believing that caring for our seniors is in her heart and that this is what she was meant to do with her life. Dedicated to the residents, their families and the staff. Being a small community at Rackleff Place, we are One Big Family and that is what is so appealing (besides the love for what we do here at Rackleff Place to help others). Caring for others is an important part of her life.
Amanda Rice, RN, began working for Rackleff Place in December of 2015 as a Registered Nurse. Having started her career as a Medication Assistant and Caregiver at age 18, Amanda returned to school in 2008 to obtain a nursing degree. Part of Amanda’s experience includes assisting in the creation of a system to help employees, residents, and families honor those residents who have passed, and promote unity and healing. “Most people think nursing is just checking orders and doing resident assessments,” says Amanda. “While that is definitely part of my job as a Nurse and Wellness Director at Rackleff Place, I also enjoy doing research on improving lives and sharing it with others.”
